He also completed internships at Dar in 2017 and at Davis Carter Scott / DCS Design in 2016, where he gained practical experience in architectural design and BIM coordination. His internships lasted for two months each, allowing him to develop foundational skills in the field.
Research and Thesis Work
Karim Hamed completed a thesis titled 'Investigating BIM Adoption for FM of Existing Buildings' as part of his Master’s degree in Building Information Management. This research focused on the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the facilities management of existing structures, contributing to the understanding of BIM's role in enhancing operational efficiency.
