Shrestha earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University, completing his studies from 2012 to 2015. Earlier, he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics & Communication from Pokhara University from 2000 to 2004.
