About Anna Colucci
How can we live sustainably? I started as a motivated and idealistic environmental manager and specialist, moved through the years to be a realistic and grounded health and safety responsible, quite tired of the green washing I keep seeing. I thrive to be genuine and grounded when dealing with environmental and social issues. I am not scared of speaking my own mind. I developed a highly flexible profile. I have a strong scientific education and correlated research experiences, I broadened my education in environmental management, engaging in several activities and subjects ranging from coastal, waste and urban management, international environmental law and climate change policies, mitigation and adaptation. This allowed me to gain deeper understanding of both marine and land environment together with an interdisciplinary understanding of major issues and related potential solutions. I gathered seven years of experience in corporate sustainability as I worked as a sustainability consultant in KPMG looking after companies’ non-financial disclosure, operational audits and limited assurance. I worked 12 months within the Green ECB team at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. The team and I looked after all those characters related to maintaining the EMAS and ISO 14001 certification in addition to sustainability and environmental management within the European Central Bank. I worked in the Green Finance team at IPC GmbH in Frankfurt am Main as an Environmental Social Management Expert. In 2020 I joined Fresenius Medical Care as transformation manager in the Global Sustainability team, led for 1.5 years the global team to set up the global OHS system by setting up a global policy and data collection process on incidents, while working on digitalizing the data collection throughout the company with the support of all regional and function representatives. Since June 2022 I took on the responsibility as senior manager within the Global Legal Function as responsible of global Occupational Health and Safety Responsible to drive FME’s Global OHS strategy and management, steering global KPIs and targets and managing the global OHS tool working in close collaboration with all the operational OHS responsible functions globally. My previous work and volunteer engagements (e.g. Macquarie sustainability & PACE) allowed me to develop strong cultural sensitivity increasing my emotional intelligence together with experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation, carbon footprint measurement and reduction and sustainable development.
