Michael Koehler
Principal Scientist @ Genentech
About Michael Koehler
I'm a grizzled veteran of South San Francisco biopharma, having learned the craft at the hands of the anarchist chemists who populated Genentech, a company known only for large molecule therapeutics until about Y2K. From there, I've been involved in the discovery of one marketed cancer drug, Vismodegib, and worked on a variety of other areas. I currently labor in the salt mines of antibacterial drug discovery as the chemistry team leader on our arylomycin program of broad-spectrum antibacterials. I hope to share more of that story soon!
