About Ryan Driscoll

All throughout my life I've always known what I wanted to be: an engineer. I never quite knew what type of engineering I'd like to focus on, but I've always had the itch to improve existing products and make my own solutions to life problems. As a teenager, I had the opportunity to scratch my engineering itch through the repair and modification of automobiles, and participation in the FIRST robotics competition. This automotive/FIRST experience let me get a taste of different aspects of engineering, from mechanical to electrical. When it came to choosing one, I decided on electrical; I knew that this was most definitely the way of the future and had endless possibilities. My love for engineering not only made me enjoy my education at Rochester Institute of Technology, but my education also blew up my love for engineering even more. College helped me understand how great it felt to break a problem down to the numbers and build up a solution based on those numbers. Being surrounded by experienced intellectuals really helped drive me to soak up as much as possible during my valuable years at RIT. I hope to bring excellent thought process, creative ideas, and out of the box solutions to industry. I hope in return to receive more experience and an opportunity to help change the world in a positive way.
