Robert C. Collins II, CPP/MH is the President of Global Packaging Optimization, LLC, (GPO) a consulting firm specializing in: - Assisting clients in establishing or optimizing the Package Development function - Assisting clients as an Expert Witness - Executing package design and development programs for new and existing products - Developing and implementing plastic component development programs He has led initiatives to define, establish and assist in staffing Package Development departments, as well as vastly improve organizational structures and performance for clients to assure the best possible packaging has been developed for successful product launches and redesigns to achieve business objectives. His primary technical expertise's include plastics, paperboard, flexible materials and dispensing system component design, development, implementation and optimization. He also has vast experience in the production of packaging components and the production processes used to package the final product for successful distribution and success in the marketplace. Prior to forming GPO, his experience spanned several major corporations, refining the leadership and collaboration skills required to successfully define and implement organizations that operated seamlessly on a global level demonstrating flawless performance. He has maintained an active presence in the packaging industry throughout his career. He is currently a Professional Member of IoPP , is a Lifetime Certified Professional in Packaging and Materials Handling, a member of the IoPP Consultants Council, a member of SPE and a past member and Chairman of the PMMI Packaging Management Council. He is active in publishing articles, giving managerial and technical interviews and presenting to US/International technical conferences/panel discussions.
