He worked as a Manager from 1983 to 2013, where he contributed to various administrative functions. After retiring from Health Canada, he returned for casual employment, continuing to provide valuable services.
Experience at Public Health Agency of Canada
From 2020 to 2021, Michael Budge served as an Administrative Advisor to the Office of the President and Chief Public Health Officer at the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). In this role, he provided business services to the Office of the President and Dr. Theresa Tam. His experience at PHAC followed a lengthy career in administration within the Government of Canada.

Michael Budge completed his high school education at Cité Étudiante de la Haute Gatineau from 1974 to 1979. He furthered his studies at CEGEP - Heritage College, where he earned a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Social Sciences from 1979 to 1984. Community Involvement
Since November 2005, Michael Budge has been actively involved with the Annual Pilgrimage, collaborating with multiple dioceses including Ottawa, Gatineau, Pembroke, Mont-Laurier, Alexandria-Cornwall, and Kingston. He plays a key role in organizing the pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and Cap-de-la-Madeleine, coordinating a convoy of over 10 buses from Western Québec and Eastern Ontario.
