Green Chimneys was founded in 1947. Since its inception, the organization has expanded its impact by establishing two campuses, one located on a farm and wildlife center in Brewster, NY, and the other in Carmel, NY. Over the decades, it has been recognized as a worldwide leader in animal-assisted therapy and educational activities for children with special needs.
Services
Green Chimneys offers a variety of services designed to support and educate children with special needs. These include an accredited special education school located on two campuses, a residential treatment center, and community-based support programs for youth and their families.
