Current Role as Vice President at Grip

Urvi Shah has been serving as Vice President at Grip since 2022. In her current role, she manages over 300 Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and two corporate entities. Her responsibilities also include supporting compliance activities related to the listing of Structured Debt Instruments and providing strategic input to the New Initiatives team.

Previous Experience at Slate.ac and EY

Before joining Grip, Urvi Shah worked at Slate.ac as Assistant Vice President from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, she held roles at EY in Mumbai, initially as Senior Executive from 2016 to 2018, and then as Assistant Manager from 2018 to 2020. At EY, she managed various tasks including audits for a listed bank and a foreign bank, and played a significant role in the merger and acquisition of a Public Sector Bank.

Education and Professional Qualifications

Urvi Shah holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCom) from Sheth Virchand Dhanji Devshi English Medium School, obtained in 2012. She also achieved the Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAI in 2014, after studying Accounting and Finance from 2009 to 2014. Her academic background has equipped her with specialized knowledge in areas such as IndAS, IFRS, and US GAAP, and she has authored multiple certifications and white papers on these subjects.

Urvi Shah began her career as an Article Intern at KPMG in Mumbai, where she worked from 2010 to 2012. She then moved to Neelkanth Group as an Assistant Manager - Accounts (Trainee) from 2012 to 2013. Her career progressed further with a role at Khimji Kunverji & Co. as an Assistant Manager from 2015 to 2016.
