Work at GTB
Jean George has served as the Director of Strategy & Market Insights at GTB since 2019. In this role, he leads a team of three strategists, managing both senior and junior levels. His responsibilities include designing strategic processes and templates tailored for GTB. He also conducts monthly reviews of SUV and Truck sales in Canada, preparing quarterly reports that analyze buying trends and inform strategy development. Additionally, he designs and leads co-creation exercises at National Ford Dealership Meetings, which are held three times a year.
Previous Experience
Before his current position at GTB, Jean George held several roles in various organizations. He worked as a Business Applications Consultant at Oracle from 2008 to 2009. He also served as a Global Marketing Manager on a contract basis at Creative Destruction Lab from 2017 to 2018. His experience includes working as a Digital Strategist at TAXI from 2011 to 2012, and at Cheil Canada from 2012 to 2014. He was a Community Manager at BBDO Proximity Canada from 2010 to 2011, and a Sr. Strategist (Contract) at GTB in 2018.
Education and Expertise
Jean George has a strong educational background with a focus on business and marketing. He achieved a Global Executive MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management between 2016 and 2018. He also obtained a Certification in Marketing Communications from the University of Toronto from 2009 to 2010. Earlier, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Economics in Industry and Finance from the University of Guelph, studying from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, he served as a Social Media Strategy Instructor at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies from 2013 to 2017.
Strategic Initiatives
In his role at GTB, Jean George collaborates with Shopper and Media teams to create loyalist and conquest strategies informed by consumer insights. He works closely with product specialists to effectively position vehicles and highlight relevant features for targeted audiences. His strategic initiatives are aimed at enhancing market understanding and improving customer engagement.
