Prior to this, he worked as an Asset Supervisor from 2013 to 2020, overseeing the asset creation process. He also held the position of Modeling Rigging Supervisor from 2011 to 2013 and worked as a Modeler/Rigger for a brief period in 2010. Previous Experience in Animation and Modeling
Before joining Guru Studio, Chris Bobinski worked at CORE Digital Pictures, where he held several roles including Modeler/Rigger/Texture Artist from 2006 to 2009, Lead Modeler, Rigging, Texture Artist from 2009 to 2010, and Compositor for a short stint in 2008. He also worked at March Entertainment as a Supervising Lead Modeler/Rigger in 2011. This diverse experience in different capacities within the animation industry has equipped him with a broad skill set in modeling and rigging.
Education and Expertise
Chris Bobinski studied at Lakehead University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on Printmaking from 1999 to 2003. He furthered his education at Sheridan College, achieving New Media Design in Graphic Design from 2003 to 2004 and completing a program in Computer Animation from 2004 to 2005. His educational background provides a strong foundation for his expertise in managing teams focused on modeling, texturing, and rigging within the animation industry.
