Previous Experience in Animation
Prior to joining Guru Studio, Em Kessler worked at Atomic Cartoons as a Junior Background Artist for three months in 2021. Kessler also held a position as a Freelance Background Designer at Chaos Emporium Inc for two months in the same year. Additionally, Kessler completed a three-month internship as a 2D Harmony and Layout Intern at Atomic Cartoons in 2020. These roles provided valuable experience in background design and animation.
Education and Qualifications
Em Kessler studied at Sheridan College, where they achieved an Honours Bachelor of Animation from 2018 to 2022. Kessler also completed a one-year program in Art Fundamentals at Sheridan College from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, Kessler attended the University of Calgary, studying Music Performance and earning a Bachelor of Arts - BA from 2016 to 2017. Kessler graduated from Western Canada High School with a High School Diploma from 2013 to 2016.
Current Projects and Interests
Currently, Em Kessler is working on a thesis film titled 'Ula of the Sea' as part of their Bachelor of Animation program. Kessler has a strong interest in animation design, color, and storytelling, which is reflected in their ongoing projects and artistic endeavors.
