Gemma Hampson has a solid educational foundation in journalism and media studies. She studied at Cardiff University, where she earned a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Journalism, Film, and Broadcasting from 1999 to 2002. Following this, she completed an NCTJ Print Journalism course at Highbury College, Portsmouth, from 2003 to 2004. Earlier, she attended Weymouth College from 1997 to 1999, achieving A-levels in English Language, Photography, Media, and General Studies.

Additionally, she leads a Slack network that connects agencies, consultants, and freelancers in the social good sector, promoting peer support and collaboration.
