During this three-year period, he gained practical experience in utility operations and engineering, which laid the foundation for his subsequent career in asset management and distribution systems.
Education and Expertise
Hans Ziemann studied at the University of Waterloo, where he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering with a Physics Option from 1985 to 1990. He furthered his education at Technische Universität Carolo-Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig, achieving a Dipl-Ing(TU) in Machine Design and High Voltage Systems from 1991 to 1993. His educational background supports his expertise in electrical engineering and high voltage systems.
Project Involvement and Achievements
Throughout his career, Hans Ziemann has completed seven transaction advisory projects involving due diligence investigations into utilities for ownership mix changes. He has participated in over 10 substation design projects up to 230kV and designed or managed more than 30 transmission and distribution line projects. His work includes over 20 asset management studies for industrial utility clients and technical advisory roles for solar and wind farm projects.
