Kya Weiman currently serves as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Hatch, a position she has held since 2021. Her work is based in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Kya Weiman studied at Collège Notre-Dame, where she achieved her Grade 12 diploma from 2016 to 2020. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Engineering at Queen's University, with an expected graduation in 2024. Her education has provided her with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.
Previous Work Experience
Prior to her current roles, Kya Weiman worked as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at the City of Greater Sudbury from 2019 to 2020. This position involved teaching swimming skills and ensuring safety in the aquatic environment. Additionally, she was a SHAD Fellow in 2018, participating in the SHAD Network program in Newfoundland and Labrador, which focused on STEM education and leadership.
