About Forrest Suter, P.E.
Forrest Suter is a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Maine with over ten years of experience in electrical engineering supporting power generating (nuclear, fossil, and hydropower), industrial, and wastewater facilities. He also has over 10 years of prior experience in industrial maintenance, which provided him with unique insights into the design, construction, and preventive maintenance of industrial facilities and power plants. Mr. Suter's engineering design experience includes engineering research for power system studies and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects as well as design-only projects for various facilities. Major responsibilities have included inspecting facilities for recommending upgrades, preparing upgrades and new designs for facility power distribution, protective relaying, lighting, and grounding systems. This has involved preparing power system (AC and DC) calculations using either ETAP or SKM software, such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, coordination, fast bus transfer analyses, battery sizing, and arc flash. In addition, he has developed single-line diagrams, relay settings, circuit lists, equipment specifications, loop diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
