Hasina Jamal obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Alberta, where she studied International Public Health/International Health from 2008 to 2010. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cultural Anthropology from The University of British Columbia, studying from 2000 to 2005.

Experience in Research and Policy Development

Hasina Jamal has a background in research and policy development. She worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at Cancer Care Ontario from 2015 to 2016 and previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care from 2016 to 2017. Her earlier roles include positions as a Research Assistant at the Department of Health Care and Epidemiology at the University of British Columbia and at IDRC.

International Experience and Consultancy

Hasina Jamal has international experience, having worked as a Consultant at IDRC in New Delhi, India, for three months in 2006. She also served as an e-Health Research Assistant for PANACeA in Bandung, Indonesia, in 2009. These roles contributed to her understanding of global health issues and policy development.
