Previous Experience in Policy Consulting
Prior to his current position, Jason Wong worked as a Senior Policy Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for eight months in 2016. He also held the position of Senior Policy Advisor on secondment at the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development from 2015 to 2016, contributing to policy development during that time.
Educational Background
Jason Wong has a diverse educational background. He earned a Master's Degree in Employee Relations and Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science from 1995 to 1996. He also holds multiple Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, including one from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2003 and another from The University of Texas at Austin in 2002. Additionally, he completed an MBA at McGill University from 2001 to 2003.
Experience in Economics and Policy Analysis
Jason Wong has extensive experience in economics and policy analysis. He worked as a Senior Economist at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care from 2009 to 2015, where he contributed to economic assessments and policy recommendations. His analytical skills have been applied across various roles in the Ontario government.
Early Education and Musical Training
In addition to his business and policy education, Jason Wong studied Industrial Relations with a Minor in Economics at the University of Toronto, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from 1990 to 1994. He also pursued musical training at The Royal Conservatory of Music, achieving Grade 9 Piano.
