His tenure in this role spans from 1986 to the present, during which he has contributed to various laboratory services in Kilifi County Hospital. Prior to his current role, Juma Yeya worked as a Laboratory Manager at Kilifi County Department of Health from 2016 to 2018. In this capacity, he oversaw laboratory operations and ensured compliance with health standards. He has also held positions at various hospitals, including TAVETA HOSPITAL and KILIFI HOSPITAL, where he worked as a Lab Technician.

Juma Yeya studied at the Medical Training College in Kenya, where he completed a Medical Microbiology Residency Program and earned a Higher National Diploma in Medical Lab Technology from 2009 to 2010. In addition to his work at the Ministry of Health, Juma Yeya has been serving as the Laboratory Manager at Dzitsoni Medical Clinic since July 2019. His responsibilities include managing laboratory operations and ensuring quality service delivery in Mnarani, Kilifi County.
