Kaitlin Garbutt currently serves as a Policy Analyst at the Ontario Ministry of Health. Before her current position, Kaitlin worked as a Policy Analyst at the Ontario Ministry of Health for three months in 2020. She also held the role of Community Development Coordinator at Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario from 2017 to 2020, where she was involved in developing funding agreements with First Nations, urban Indigenous partners, and municipalities for home and community care delivery.
Educational Background in Health Administration
Kaitlin Garbutt earned a Master of Health Administration with a focus on Community Care from Ryerson University, completing her studies from 2019 to 2021. Prior to this, she obtained a Certificate in Management and Leadership from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology from Laurentian University, which she completed in 2015.
Experience in Community and Resource Development
Kaitlin has a diverse background in community and resource development. She worked as a Resource Development Project Officer at UW-Research Institute for Aging/Conestoga College/Schlegel Villages from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, she served as a Recreation Coordinator at Schlegel Villages from 2016 to 2017, contributing to community engagement and program development.
Early Career and Administrative Roles
Kaitlin began her career in administrative roles, including a position as an Administrative Assistant at Giffen LLP from 2012 to 2014. She also worked briefly as a Customer Service Representative at Onward Manufacturing Company in 2013. These early experiences provided her with foundational skills in communication and organizational management.
