Current Role as Senior Health Economist
Sakina Rizvi currently holds the position of Senior Health Economist at the Ontario Ministry of Health, specifically within the Research, Analysis and Evaluation branch. She also served as an Epidemiologist at the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit for three months in 2017 and worked as a Health Information Data Abstractor at St. Michael's Hospital for seven months in 2016. These roles contributed to her expertise in public health and epidemiology.
Educational Background in Public Health and Biotechnology
Sakina Rizvi earned her Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from Lakehead University, completing her studies from 2015 to 2017. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Microbiology from the University of Toronto, which she completed from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, she studied Biotechnology at Centennial College, achieving an Advanced Technologist designation through a joint program with the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2014.
