About Howard Yeh
Co-founder of HealthCare.com, a digital health insurance company, with a data science driven online consumer marketplace offering a comprehensive selection of insurance products from top US carriers as well as the company's own innovative proprietary short-term, gap and supplemental policies. Multiple-time entrepreneur & InsurTech founder, CEO, and operator with experience leading product vision, product teams, customer acquisition, and marketplace models. Co-founded HealthCare.com and led from the ground up to the growth & expansion stage (150+ employees / $70M+ in top-line) as CEO as it became a leading customer acquisition engine and lead marketplace for consumer health insurance and Medicare. Reached profitability in the first 2 years, which allowed reinvestment into team and capabilities. Championed data science at HealthCare.com and recruited the initial team of data scientists (which has since grown to 20+). Led the company through growth to 150+ employees, developed proprietary insurance coverage (through the Pivot Health acquisition), built an industry-leading data science team, raised a Series B fundraising, and expanded into full-funnel sales with an in-house brokerage. We were recognized by the Red Herring 100 (2016 and 2018), Deloitte Fast 500 (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), and Inc 500 (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), 2020. Transitioned to COO in 2021 after hiring a new CEO and CFO - to take HealthCare.com to Series C and beyond. Currently Chief Insurance Officer to help us re-imagine digital distribution and develop next-gen, proprietary health insurance and Medicare coverages. ------- Before starting HealthCare.com, I co-founded ContactUs.com in 2012, which acquired in 2015 by WorkWave. ContactUs.com was software for online customer acquisition and lead management for small businesses. Before that, I was a co-founder of the BrokersWeb, a vertically-targeted CPC ad marketplace. We reached #20 overall on the Inc 500 list for 2011 (#1 in Insurance category), and #50 overall (#1 in Insurance) for 2012 - with over $50M of annual revenue in 2011. It led to a successful exit for investors and founders by combining with Vantage Media in 2011. From 2003 until 2007, I was a VC at VantagePoint Venture Partners, a VC fund. I started my career in 2000 as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch's global media group in NYC. I graduated from UPenn with an undergraduate degree from Wharton in 2000.
