Jenifer Higgins spent 17 years at the United Way of Greater Rochester. During her tenure, she managed the $2.3 million Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Housing Fund and served as a Program Officer for Aging Services. Furthermore, she oversaw a $2.5 million annual investment directed towards community programs aimed at maintaining the independence of older adults living at home. Jenifer's work in these positions had a notable impact on housing and aging services within the Rochester community.

Jenifer Higgins' Role at Home Properties

Prior to her current role, Jenifer Higgins worked at Home Properties where she was a part of the Affordable Housing Development team. In this capacity, she contributed to securing 10 tax credit awards, resulting in the creation of more than 500 affordable housing units. Her work was critical in expanding affordable housing opportunities within the communities served by Home Properties.

Jenifer Higgins holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor. She furthered her education by obtaining a master's degree in Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
