He also served as a Branch Manager from 2009 to 2014 at the Dandy Mall branch in Cairo. Additionally, he worked as a Project Manager for five months in Jordan in 2014. Earlier in his career, he was the Head of Assets & Liabilities Products at HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management from 2000 to 2008.

Haytham El Shorbagy holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration - English Section at Helwan University, which he completed from 1994 to 1998. He further enhanced his expertise by studying Cash Management at The Association of Corporate Treasurers in the UK, where he achieved the Certified International Cash Manager certification from 2018 to 2019. He has also completed various training courses and certifications throughout his career.
