About Amber Malika Pierce
Amber is a curiosity-driven leader with a work ethic forged over decades as a professional athlete. Her experience in high-performance team environments (including sport, health, and tech) informs her ability to deliver outcomes and to solve complex multi-stakeholder problems with high-EQ communication, execution, and strategy. She holds a BA and MS from Stanford, has authored peer-reviewed scientific papers, and serves as an academic research consultant, STEM research grant editor, and technical writer. As a competitor, she studied the latest in human health and performance science, learned from world-class experts and performers, and put it all into practice racing her bike around the globe in World Cups and on the World Tour. She cultivated a deep understanding of mindset, leadership, and teamwork over more than a decade on international trade teams and on the US National Team at the highest level of the sport, earning more than 60 victories and multiple collegiate conference and national championship titles. Amber now channels her eclectic expertise into investing, consulting, and podcasting, having founded her own company to explore performance, potential, and the wholeness of human experience at the intersection of scientific inquiry with real-life application. She also serves on the board of directors for non-profit organizations that support active transportation and women and youth in cycling.
