Alex Siow earned a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, completing his studies from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, he has built basic Python modeling skills through self-study, enhancing his analytical capabilities in data-driven environments.

LNG Demand Forecasting Expertise

Alex Siow has extensive experience in LNG demand forecasting across multiple countries. He has personally built forecasts for Malaysia, Indonesia, Kuwait, UAE, Israel, Turkey, Panama, and Greece using econometric multiple regressions and port-level analysis. He successfully led a team to complete the global LNG demand forecast, covering a wide range of countries including Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, and others, within two years.

Early Career and Internships

Before establishing his career in LNG analysis, Alex Siow worked as a Data Analyst at Accenture in Kuala Lumpur from 2005 to 2006. He also gained experience as an Intern Petrophysicist at Shell in Sarawak, Malaysia, for six months in 2004. These early roles provided him with foundational skills and insights into the energy sector.
