GeoMatch uses machine learning to predict where immigrants are most likely to thrive and contribute to their new communities. Tweet Tracker provides real-time data analysis on public opinion and discussions about immigration policies. IPL Integration Index measures the success of immigrant integration. They also utilize WhatsApp Surveys, a low-cost, automated method for conducting surveys via mobile phones, to gather data efficiently. These tools have been used in various research projects and partnerships.
Research Focus
IPL focuses on the economic, social, and psychological integration of immigrants. Their research covers topics like public support for refugees, the impact of inclusive health policies on immigrant health service usage, and much more. They have conducted surveys and research in various countries including Greece, Jordan, and across Europe. IPL's work aims to provide evidence-based insights to influence policy and improve immigrant outcomes globally.
Partnerships
IPL collaborates with numerous organizations to extend the impact of their research. Some notable partnerships include the International Rescue Committee, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and the Norwegian Directorate of Integration and Diversity. Their GeoMatch tool has been used in collaboration with organizations such as Church World Service and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to enhance the resettlement of immigrants. These partnerships help implement IPL's innovative research findings in practical applications.
Funding and Publications
IPL receives funding from prestigious sources including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Schmidt Futures, and the National Science Foundation. Their research findings are published in leading scholarly journals such as the American Journal of Political Science and Nature.
