About Bill Tickner (He/Him)
Twelve years at Google in the roles of Account Executive and Senior Data Analyst have prepared me to work in fast-paced and data-driven sales environments where change is the norm. Working with clients of varying scale and industry and partnering with client contacts from the marketing manager level to CEO has allowed me to understand many dynamic business models and meet the goals of high-growth organizations. Within my core roles I have rallied teams to meet ambitious business goals. I am excited to join Salesforce as a Regional Manager where I can use my experience to grow the skills and performance of my team in this next stage of my career. Beyond my core roles, I strive to make significant impact on my company and my community. I received Google's 2014 Global Workforce Impact Award for founding a program called Global Pride+ in which I partnered with LGBTQ+ Google employees first in India (2014) and then China (2017) and most recently in Poland (2019) to meet awareness and inclusiion goals they set for their local offices and communities. Outside work, I am an avid hiker, cyclist, and outdoorsman. In 2014 I took time off to hike the 2700 mile long Pacific Crest Trail. In 2019, I left my last position to hike the 3100 mile long Continental Divide Trail and the 2200 mile long Appalachain Trail - over 8000 miles in total - to complete the famed "Triple Crown" of long distance hiking. To learn more about my hiking career visit my hiking blog at www.WildernessEffect.com. I have also cycled thousands of miles including 5 AIDS Lifecycle fundraising rides from SF to LA and was the #1 fundraiser in 2022 raising 68k. This led me to compete in the 2018 Gay Games in Paris for long distance cycling resulting in a silver medal win.
