Specialties: Compilers, language runtimes, optimization, data analysis, Apache Spark, software engineering. I am a Senior Software Developer at IBM Canada in the XL Compiler Team. My technical interests encompass compiler optimization, static analysis, and the application of emerging data parallel programming models to big data analytics performance in virtualized environments. I have collaborated with IBM Watson Research and University researchers on several key initiatives, including leading the development and research of the IBM UPC compiler for the DARPA sponsored PERCS high-performance computing project, and the development of a prototype compiler for a data parallel programming language (IBM Dash) targeting GPU acceleration of analytic algorithms for computational finance.
