About Munonyedi (Nivlek) Egbo, PhD
I am currently with Intel Corporation where I serve as a process engineer. Outside work, I love hanging out with my wonderful fiancee, learning python programming for data science, and writing (technical and nontechnical). I am always looking for ways to help the people around me.Former Sweo Endowed Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Portland's Shiley School of Engineering where I taught Fundamental Thermodynamics to over 68 mechanical engineering students, advised/supervised 5 mechanical engineering students on their capstone project, advised a student organization (Spanish Engineering students), and carried out research on phase-change liquid-vapor-based thermal management systems.I have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University, KS, US, a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Sustainable Energy and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.) from the University of Glasgow, UK, and the University of Nigeria, NG, respectively. During my PhD I worked on NASA and NSF projects, and I published 4 journal papers, attended/presented in an International conference (ASME IMECE 2019 in Salt Lake City Utah), and presented in local and regional forums.
