About Carola Krainz
Born Austrian and as a former athlete, my 15-years of professional experience straddles private sector development and communications. Since 2016, I have worked with and trained 110+ SMEs across South-East Asia and Europe developing business models, business and internationalization plans, digital innovation strategies, and marketing best practices in urban and rural areas and frequently with a gender lens. SME-export support programs and private sector development engagements include multi-day training, 1:1 coaching, mentorship, the development of export materials, and other advisory services. During the 4+ years directing my boutique marketing consulting firm advising top Cambodian lifestyle brands, I've developed a profound understanding of developing nations' business environments and ecosystems which helped me create effective, industry-specific business and marketing strategies for clients. Areas of expertise comprise strategy development, digital engagement, website development, branding, and graphic design. Clients include International Development Organizations (World Bank, Asian Development Bank, GIZ), NGOs (European Chamber of Commerce), political foundations (Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung), and the private sector (TradeWorthy, Chef Nak, Penh House Hotel). Experienced in every level of project management, I have led teams from project design to implementation and evaluation and continuously delivered on point, time, and budget. I'm a people person, solution-oriented, highly resourceful, and love to make people smile. Talk to me in German, English, Spanish, or French.
