About Javier S. Fonseca
Javier has many years of professional experience both the in the public and private sector. In the World Bank Group, he has worked in assurance and advisory reviews focused on information technology, corporate processes and Bank operations in Latin America. Most recently, he works in the unit responsible for delivering products and technologies for the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Prior to the World Bank Group, Javier worked in Ernst & Young LLP and Arthur Andersen where he led multicultural teams primarily in Latin America and Canada. He has experience in industries such as retail, oil & gas, telecommunications, financial institutions and manufacturing. Javier holds a Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology (MSMIT) from the McIntire School of Commerce at University of Virginia, and a dual bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and is also Certified In Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
