Michael Macaluso's Career at STMicroelectronics

Before joining IoTecha, Michael Macaluso held a senior engineering management position at STMicroelectronics. During his tenure, he was instrumental in developing the ST-2100 SoC device. He played a key role in the device’s architecture, conception, and production. Notably, he led the development of para-virtualized software for the ST2100, which combined software MAC flexibility with a hypervisor to manage real-time tasks while running customer applications under Linux.

Michael Macaluso's Background in Powerline Communications

Michael Macaluso has been involved in high-speed powerline communications since its inception. He began his undergraduate research in this field under Dr. Dino Manikopolus at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and later co-founded one of the early powerline communication companies, Peak Communications Technology, in 1997. His early work laid the groundwork for future developments in this area.
