Military Experience and Leadership
Prior to his current position, Walton worked at Joint Base San Antonio as CSM/G3/5/7 SGM IMCOM from 2010 to 2014. During this time, he managed risk to protect assets valued over $100 million and led teams comprising over 4,000 military and civilian personnel. His leadership in dynamic environments has been instrumental in achieving operational goals and exceeding senior leadership expectations.
Education and Training
Walton's educational background includes studies at the US Army Sergeants Major Academy, where he achieved the rank of E9. He also graduated from the Command Sergeants Major Academy and the Command and Staff College. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College, completing his studies from 2010 to 2014. He has also completed various military training courses, including the Basic Instructor’s Course and the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response Prevention Training Course.

In his role, Walton has assisted the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) and the Capability Development Team (CFT) in developing operational architecture and system products for Future Forces.
