Career in Window Cleaning Industry

LaRue Coleman began his career in the window cleaning industry in October 1970 at 18 years old while in college. By 1977, Coleman bought out his business partner and developed JOBS Building Services into a market leader in Houston. Under his leadership, JOBS Building Services became one of the largest window cleaning companies in the United States.

Founding of Aluminum Maintenance Systems of Texas (AMST)

In 1981, LaRue Coleman founded Aluminum Maintenance Systems of Texas (AMST), which specializes in building restoration and waterproofing services. Over time, he expanded AMST's offerings to include architectural metal restoration and custom elevator interiors. This expansion cemented AMST's reputation for providing comprehensive building maintenance solutions.

Investment Partnership and Growth

In June 2019, LaRue Coleman formed an investment partnership with Keystone Capital to create the first platform in the exterior high-rise window cleaning and façade maintenance industry. Under his leadership, the company completed several acquisitions, expanding its geographic footprint significantly. Coleman's strategic vision facilitated the recruitment of additional leadership, including the CEO, Eric Crabb.

Merger with Valcourt Building Services

LaRue Coleman played a key role in the merger of JOBS Building Services and AMST with Valcourt Building Services in March 2021. This merger aimed to combine resources and expertise to better serve their clients across a wider geographic area, leveraging both companies' strengths in building services.

Involvement in Industry Organizations

LaRue Coleman has been a significant figure in industry organizations. He served as both a board member and President of the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) in 1994. Since 1985, he has been a member of the ASME A120 Committee, which writes safety standards for the window cleaning industry, and he currently serves as its Chairman.

LaRue Coleman serves as Chairman of the Board of Mars Hill Productions, a board member of MXTV, and a board member of Uttermost International of India. Apart from his professional endeavors, Coleman is actively involved in charitable activities. He is married, with one daughter and two grandchildren.
