I am a Technology Manager working in the Office of Technology Transfer at the JHU Applied Physics Laboratory. At APL my primary role is commercialization of technology developed within APL's Space Exploration Sector. I have a background in patent law (US Patent Agent and former USPTO patent examiner), technology commercialization and extensive industry experience as a software systems engineer. I also previously founded a company called The Patent Box (www.thepatentbox.com). The Patent Box offers a searchable directory of US patent practitioners along with research tools designed to help patent practitioners prosecute more efficiently. The Patent Box was acquired by Teak IP Services in 2021.
