About Jeanne Chauffour

I am a MERL Technical Advisor at John Snow, Inc. (JSI). I have worked on multiple projects financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, namely: MEASURE Evaluation, TB Data, Impact Assessment and Communications Hub (TB DIAH), Re-imagining Technical Assistance for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health and Health Systems Strengthening, Advancing Partners & Communities (APC), Last 10 Kilometers (L10K), Data for Implementation (Data.FI), and Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU). I graduated with a Master of Science in Global Health and Population from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health with an interdisciplinary concentration in Infectious Diseases Epidemiology. I received an A.B. in History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science and Medicine (HIPSS) and a minor in Human Rights from the University of Chicago. My field experience spans 21 countries, most in Latin America and Africa, where I have worked in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. My current work focuses on TB data quality, demand, and use, quality of care, and capacity building. Previous experience on health systems strengthening and verticals such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, WASH, disease-related stigma/discrimination, mental health, gender, and human rights.
