Work at Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc.
Lynna Do served as Past President of the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) for a decade, from 2014 to 2024. During her tenure, she spearheaded initiatives aimed at providing essential resources such as food, clothing, housing, and job opportunities to local families. Her leadership focused on community service and enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Oakland-East Bay area.
Current Roles and Responsibilities
Lynna Do currently holds multiple positions across various organizations. She has been a Board Member at the Universal Human Rights Initiative since 2021. Additionally, she serves as an At-Large Director on the Board of Directors for The Junior League in the New York City Metropolitan Area. As the Founder of the Interpreter Institute since 2019, she has contributed to the field of interpretation. Lynna is also an International Governing Board Member for Delta Phi Epsilon International Headquarters since 2016 and the Founder of Orchid Angel Consulting, both based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Education and Expertise
Lynna Do has an extensive educational background. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology from Walden University, completing her studies from 2007 to 2022. She also holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Psychology from Walden University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. In addition, she has completed various certificates, including in Advanced Management from Kellogg Executive Education and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida.
Achievements and Contributions
Lynna Do has received recognition for her contributions to community service and advocacy. She was awarded the Community Impact Award by the Junior Leagues of California State Public Affairs Committee in 2016. As Chair of the Alameda County Mental Health Board, she focused on improving dignity and respect in behavioral health care services. Additionally, she led efforts to establish inclusive policies for trans women and gender non-binary individuals within Delta Phi Epsilon.
