Prior to his current role, Pieter Van Hengel held several positions within Kite Pharma. He worked as a Senior Manager of Supply Chain, Order Management & Logistics from 2019 to 2021, and briefly served as Associate Director of EU Logistics in early 2021. Before rejoining Kite Pharma, he was the Director of Global Supply Chain at IDA Foundation from 2016 to 2019. His earlier roles include Supply Chain Manager for the Automotive Group at Pon and various supply chain positions at Ziggo and Stork Technical Services.

Pieter Van Hengel has a strong educational background in business administration and supply chain management. He earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, completing his studies in 2009. He also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Business Administration - Logistics from Hogeschool Rotterdam, achieved in 2006. Additionally, he has completed NEVI-1 certification in Procurement and obtained a Greenbelt in Lean/Six Sigma from Stork Technical Services.
