Arif Nathoo serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Komodo Health, a company he co-founded in 2014. Komodo Health leverages the patient journeys of more than 320 million de-identified individuals to create its Healthcare Map™. The company is backed by prominent investors such as Tiger Global, Casdin Capital, ICONIQ, Andreessen Horowitz, Oak HC/FT, IA Ventures, Felicis Ventures, and McKesson Ventures.
Previous Roles and Experience
Before his current role at Komodo Health, Nathoo was a Senior Advisor at Independent from 2012 to 2014. He also worked at McKinsey & Company from 2005 to 2012, where he held the position of Associate Principal. At McKinsey, Nathoo co-led the medical affairs practice, focusing on improving non-promotional scientific engagement between industry and providers and worked within the Medical Affairs practice to enhance industry-provider interactions.
Education and Expertise
Arif Nathoo has an extensive academic background, having attended multiple prestigious institutions. He studied Neurobiology at Harvard University, earning an A.B. from 1996 to 2000. He also holds an A.M. in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Harvard University, which he completed in 2000. Further, he achieved his M.D. at Harvard Medical School and an MPA in Health Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, both from 2000 to 2005. He graduated magna cum laude with highest honors from Harvard College.
