Prior to this, she was the Head of People Operations & Wellbeing from 2019 to 2021, and the Head of Wellbeing - People & Culture from 2021 to 2022. Her earlier role was as Senior Manager - Wellbeing, Health & Safety from 2014 to 2019. Throughout her tenure, she developed leadership and peer capability programs aimed at enhancing performance and engagement.

Current Roles and Responsibilities

In addition to her work at KPMG Australia, Lainie Cassidy is the Functional Lead for the Corporate Mental Health Alliance Australia (CMHAA), a position she has held since 2019. She also serves as a Board Member for Heart On My Sleeve since 2023. In these roles, she focuses on creating psychologically safe workplaces and implementing positive prevention and risk mitigation strategies.

Education and Expertise

Lainie Cassidy studied at LaTrobe University, where she earned a Bachelor of Health and Behavioural Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health, Wellbeing and Safety from 2002 to 2007. Her educational background supports her expertise in improving employee experience and fostering a sense of belonging within organizations.

Previous Work Experience

Before joining KPMG Australia, Lainie Cassidy worked at Toyota Motor Corporation Australia as the National Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager from 2010 to 2014 and as a Health, Safety & Employee Relations Specialist from 2007 to 2010. She also held the position of Senior Health and Risk Advisor at Sims Metal Management Limited from 2006 to 2007 and worked as an OHS Risk Specialist at Amcor Fibre Packaging Australasia for seven months in 2005.
