Minh Dao currently holds the position of Deputy Lead in the KPMG National Deals Tax Group at KPMG Australia, a role he has occupied since 2021. He has been with KPMG for an extended period, having previously worked as a Partner in Deal Advisory Tax since 2015. His tenure at KPMG Australia began in 2001, where he worked in Deal Advisory Tax until 2015. In addition to his roles in Australia, he has also served as a Tax Director during a secondment in the UK in 2014.

Minh Dao began his career at KPMG Australia in 2001, where he gained extensive experience in tax advisory services. His work has included significant projects such as advising on the sale of Hobart Airport and the long-term lease of Coffs Harbour Airport. He has also played a key role in various high-profile transactions, including AMP Capital’s acquisition of ANU student accommodation and the successful bid for Ausgrid.

Minh Dao has been involved in numerous significant projects throughout his career. He contributed to transactions valued at billions of dollars, including advising the winning bidders for Endeavour Energy and the ASX listed Broadcast Australia Group. His expertise extends to renewable energy projects, having advised on the Royalla Solar Farm and various wind farm projects. In recognition of his contributions, he was named the 2015 Corporate Tax Adviser of the Year by the Tax Institute.
