Sanjay Khurana currently serves as an Associate Director at KPMG India, a position he has held since 2020. In this role, he is responsible for the overall profit and loss (P&L) account for the Toll asset vertical in an insolvency resolution assignment for a leading infrastructure company in the NCR region. His responsibilities include assisting the NCLT appointed Insolvency Resolution Professional (IRP) with the requirements of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Prior to his current role, he worked at KPMG India as an Assistant Manager from 2015 to 2017 and as Manager in the MPA - IGH division from 2017 to 2020.

Sanjay Khurana holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, which he completed from 2002 to 2006. He further enhanced his skills by studying Business Administration and Management at U21 Global in Singapore, completing the Avantha Young Executive Program from 2011 to 2012. His educational background provides a strong foundation for his expertise in project management and engineering.
Background
Sanjay Khurana began his career as a Senior Engineer at Punj Lloyd Limited, where he worked from 2006 to 2010. He then transitioned to Avantha Power & Infrastructure Limited (APIL) as a Deputy Manager from 2010 to 2015. His experience includes handling major Balance of Plant (BOP) contracts exceeding INR 25 billion for clients such as RRVUNL, GVK, Jindal Power Ltd, and Ind Bharat. He has also been actively involved in project audits for Siemens-CFA in the UAE, focusing on substation projects in the KSA region.
Achievements
Sanjay Khurana has played a key role in the implementation of two major Independent Power Producers (IPPs) of 600 MW each at Avantha Power & Infrastructure. He led the bid process advisory for one of the largest tunnel projects for Reliance Infrastructure Limited. His extensive experience in project management and engineering has contributed to significant projects in the infrastructure sector.
