My strength is in investing in R&D efforts in AI that move the needle for businesses as well as in running large scale performant and reliable systems. Currently heading a globally distributed diverse team of computer scientists (Machine learning, applications and distributed systems) and statisticians that builds AI and ML solutions for fueling LinkedIn’s growth. Responsible for all of the intelligent decision making systems that enable a member to find the right network and be heard. Systems that I lead and have built include People You May Know, AI for Linkedin's Air Traffic Controller (ATC) which controls all of the notifications and email that members receive. We use AI to ensure a member has the right network to give and get help, that they never miss a conversation through nearline graph compute systems, delivery time optimization and message spacing. Responsible for majority of Linkedin's strong engagement growth that came from initiatives in the last 5 years (2x growth in connections, 5x growth in sessions). Strong emphasis on operational excellence and experimentation and leader for several company wide horizontal technology initiatives. Passionate about leading diverse and inclusive teams, and has bootstrapped several company wide initiatives on inclusive behaviors in hiring, apprenticeship programs and leading inclusively. Leader of several Women in Technology initiatives. Publications in several conferences like WWW, SIGIR, ACL and COLING and serve on SPC of several conferences. Invited speaker at KDD, QCON, WWW etc.
