Prior to that, he held positions at GSK as Gerente de Planta from 1994 to 1998, Aventis Pharmaceutical as Coordinador Aseguramiento de Calidad from 1987 to 1989, and Abbott as Químico Jr. / Químico Sr. Asist. Técnico Fermentación from 1986 to 1987. He also worked at Bayer as Jefe Area de Inyectables, Sólidos, Semisólidos y Líquidos from 1989 to 1994.
