In 2014, Jiwoo Lee worked as a Visiting Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. This position lasted for two months and allowed Lee to engage with advanced research in atmospheric sciences and computational methods.

Jiwoo Lee holds multiple degrees from Yonsei University. Lee earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Atmospheric Sciences from 2002 to 2006, followed by a Master of Science (M.S.) in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from 2006 to 2008. Subsequently, Lee completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Atmospheric Sciences from 2011 to 2014. Postdoctoral Research Positions

After completing the Ph.D., Jiwoo Lee held postdoctoral positions at two institutions. From 2015 to 2016, Lee was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Geography at the University of California, Los Angeles. This was followed by a two-year appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Staff Member at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where Lee focused on scientific computing and climate modeling.
