Patricia Koning studied English and History at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from 1988 to 1992. She later pursued advanced studies at Johns Hopkins University, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Science Writing from 2016 to 2020. Her foundational education includes attending Livermore High School and Oak Ridge High School.

In her current role, Koning develops and directs strategic communications for an organization with over 1,500 employees. She is responsible for producing various communication materials, including marketing collateral, briefing documents, journal articles, presentations, photo galleries, and video content.
