Meenakshi Bala currently serves as the Talent Acquisition Partner for the APAC region at Liferay, a position she has held since 2023. In this role, she manages the entire employee lifecycle for Liferay India's employees, which includes tasks such as new hire account creation, portal access, leave management, and grievance addressing. She has successfully closed key positions, including Partner Marketing Manager for Singapore and Sales Development Manager for Australia. Meenakshi also voluntarily took on additional responsibilities for employee engagement and backend operations, which received management approval based on her performance.
Previous Experience in Talent Acquisition
Before joining Liferay, Meenakshi Bala worked at Skill-Lync in various roles, including Senior Talent Acquisition Associate and Talent Acquisition Associate, from 2021 to 2023. She also served as a Talent Acquisition Intern at Skill-Lync from 2020 to 2021. Her experience includes strategizing the recruitment process for Japan's Software Engineering Trainee requirement and collaborating with hiring managers across seven different countries and time zones for various roles. Additionally, she worked as a Human Resource Project Trainee at GRUNDFOS in 2020 and as an HR Intern at Firstsource in 2019.
Education and Expertise
Meenakshi Bala holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Biomedical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, which she completed from 2014 to 2018. She also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource from Sri Sairam Engineering College, graduating in 2020. Her educational background provides her with a strong foundation in both technical and human resource management, enhancing her capabilities in talent acquisition and employee lifecycle management.
Achievements and Recognition
Meenakshi has received global recognition for her effective management of APAC requirements and her ability to handle the entire employee lifecycle without any breakdowns. She played a crucial role in the People Summit 2023 held in Dublin and actively participated as an APAC representative in global projects. One notable project involved creating Hiring Managers’ Training in collaboration with the Brazil people team, which is now available on the Internal Education Platform.
