About Karsten Bruening
I am a materials engineer by training with a passion for polymers and photovoltaics. I juggle large amounts of materials data from in-situ and high throughput experiments to make better materials. I enjoy using synchrotron X-ray techniques, sophisticated data processing code and a plethora of other characterization methods to look at the structure and chemistry of materials in real time to advance the understanding of how materials perform in real life. I take pleasure in working on scientific problems that have a tangible impact on our lives.
