A skilled and compassionate veterinarian at the forefront of innovative solutions in wellness and pain management for animals, author and and a veterinary entrepreneur, Dr. Phillip Raclyn has been providing experienced, compassionate, cutting-edge care to pets in the New York area for over 30 years. As founder and director of the Riverside Animal Hospital North and Riverside Animal Hospital South, he built thriving, AAHA-accredited veterinary practices before successfully transitioning them for acquisition by National Veterinary Associates, continuing as Managing Veterinarian for both practices. In 2002, he purchased Yorktown Animal Hospital, which had been serving Westchester County since 1965, renovating the facility and modernizing the practice & the level of medical care. It is now an award-winning leader in cutting-edge veterinary medicine and compassionate care, as well as a fully-equipped boarding facility for Westchester and NY owners. In 2018 he purchased Peekskill Animal Hospital, and is in the process of moving the practice to a newly renovated location nearby, while adding all the technology and infrastructure needed for a 21st century veterinary practice. As the founder of The Puppy Project and The Veterinary Council for Breed Stewardship, Dr. Raclyn is committed to raising awareness about the inhumane, unethical, and barbaric puppy mill industry, as well as to ending it by encouraging animal lovers to purchase pets that have been hand raised by responsible, ethical breeders who are certified by The Veterinary Council for Breed Stewardship. Dr. Raclyn is frequently interviewed in publications ranging from The New York Times & The Daily News to Cat Fancy. His television appearances have included Good Morning America, The Martha Stewart Show, Fox and Friends, MTV, and many others. Dr. Raclyn is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist with advanced training in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Veterinary Forensics.
